Intuit® Payroll Options for You and Your Clients

Intuit payrollIntuit® has many payroll options to suit just about every type of need. We have products designed for accountants and products designed for small businesses. Some are online. Some work on the desktop. Others are “standalone” products; while others work right within QuickBooks®.

Regardless of which product you choose, all of Intuit’s payroll products include free phone and chat support, are designed to be easy to use, and help you and your clients save time when administering payroll. That way, you can spend more time focused on ways to grow your business.

Below is a brief summary of our payroll offerings to help you decide what’s right for you and your clients. We’ve included comparison charts and links to the product pages so you can see all the features and capabilities included in each product.

Payroll Products for Accountants

Managing Payroll within QuickBooks Online Accountant

First, for those who use QuickBooks Online Accountant to manage your QuickBooks Online clients, you can easily integrate payroll and support your online clients and their employees. With a single client list with all of your online clients’ contact information in one place through QuickBooks Online Accountant, you can access client accounts in one click and switch between accounts without signing out.

QuickBooks Online clients who want to run their own payroll can create paychecks with automatic tax calculations, and electronically file and pay taxes right within QuickBooks Online. You can view their payroll and accounting transactions directly from QuickBooks Online Accountant.

Intuit Online Payroll for Accounting Professionals

With Intuit Online Payroll for Accounting Professionals, you can run payroll on your schedule, wherever you are, even from a mobile app. Features of Intuit Online Payroll for Accounting Professionals include job costing and class tracking and the ability to set your client’s level of access depending on their level of involvement in their payroll activities. And with wholesale pricing, you can pass the savings along to your clients or use the savings to drive profits for your firm. It’s your choice.

Intuit Online Payroll for Accounting Professionals integrates with QuickBooks Online and desktop, QuickBooks for Mac, Quicken and Peachtree.

Intuit QuickBooks Payroll Enhanced for Accountants

A payroll solution that works right within QuickBooks Desktop, Intuit QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll for Accountants helps you streamline tasks and perform after-the-fact payroll simply and easily. QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll for Accountants also includes job costing and the ability to print year-end W-2s. With automatic tax calculations, completed federal and state tax forms and the ability to easily click to electronically file and pay taxes, QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll for Accountants helps you save time and be more productive when providing payroll services to your clients.

Payroll Products for Small Business

QuickBooks Online Payroll

This is Intuit’s payroll product that works within QuickBooks Online. Since QuickBooks Online Payroll lives right inside QuickBooks Online, there is no double data entry. QuickBooks Online Payroll allows clients to create paychecks and direct deposit is free. QuickBooks Online Payroll automatically fills in federal and state payroll tax forms. Just click to e-file forms. Additionally, printing W-2s for employees at year-end is a snap.

Clients who use QuickBooks Online Payroll can collaborate with their accountant by giving them access rights. In turn, accountants who use QuickBooks Online Accountant can access these clients’ files right from their client list, making the accountant’s job that much easier.

Intuit Enhanced Payroll

Enhanced Payroll is a complete do-it-yourself payroll solution. Clients can create paychecks and manage their payroll taxes. We have two options of Enhanced Payroll: QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll works right within QuickBooks Desktop. Online Enhanced Payroll works on its own or can integrate with QuickBooks. Enhanced Payroll includes federal and state tax forms, and has the ability to electronically file and pay taxes. Clients can also print year-end W-2s for their employees. With Online Enhanced Payroll, clients can run payroll from a supported iPhone, iPad or Android phone. For clients who only want to create paychecks for W-2 employees, there’s also Basic Payroll, which has many of the same features but does not include payroll tax forms or the ability to electronically file W-2s at year-end like Enhanced Payroll.

Intuit Full Service Payroll

For clients and accountants who prefer Intuit to manage payroll, there’s Intuit Full Service Payroll. Intuit’s dedicated U.S- based payroll experts set up your clients on the service, your clients enter their hours online (or on their mobile phone), and Intuit does the rest. You save time with automatic data syncing with QuickBooks and can gain deeper insights because Intuit Full Service Payroll supports class tracking and job costing. And right now, for every new client who you refer to Intuit Full Service Payroll and runs payroll within 30 days of signing up, you can receive a $300 Visa prepaid card.
