Intuit® Accountants Website Experience

Article Post Date
September 10th 2012 by Amy Ball

Coming Soon! Intuit® Accounting Professionals Division will be launching an improved website experience. The feedback that we have received from you is you want one place to go to access all of your information. So, whether you are a QuickBooks ProAdvisor®, or a Lacerte® or a ProSeries® customer or a combination, you will only need to go one URL to access your accounts and dashboard, resulting in a unified experience, spanning multiple products.

http://accountants.intuit.com will be your one stop to access all your accounts or shop for anything Intuit Accountants.

New Navigation

The first improvement we’ll discuss is the new navigation. Access to product specific content for each product, such as training or support, will now be available by hovering over the product on the blue bar. Hovering over a specific product will provide a drop-down panels group navigation that provides all the selections you are familiar with. The former familiar content is still available, and only “how content is accessed” has changed. The new navigation is now cleaner and more efficient. Please see below for examples of old and new navigation, using the ProSeries product.

Unified Experience

The second enhancement we wanted to share with you is the unified experience. From anywhere on https://accountants.intuit.com, you can sign-in to your account using the “My Account” tab on the right of the top navigation bar. Simply hover over the “My Account” tab and the sign-in box will appear.

For customers who have multiple user IDs (such as Lacerte and ProAdvisor or ProSeries and ProAdvisor), this new web design will allow you to consolidate all your accounts into one. We’ve outlined the steps you need to take to merge accounts below.

Once signed in to your account, you’ll get to your account dashboard where you can see at-a-glance information about your Customer Account Number, the desktop products and memberships you own, their current status and notifications.

*Please note that you will have a limited view of historical product and service purchases, as well online products at this time. There will be further enhancements in the coming months.

You’ll also notice that your top navigation bar has been expanded to include a view to your accounts.

Hover over each tab to view all the key links OR click on the tab to get to your home page for that account. We’ve done this to make it easier for you to access the tasks you perform most frequently. See below for examples of how the new My Account navigation will look for Lacerte, ProSeries and ProAdvisor customers.

You can also manage your Intuit firm/account information from one place by clicking on the Account Management tab.

How to Consolidate Multiple Accounts into a single User ID

Step 1: Select the user ID you want to use going forward and sign-in by using the  the “My Account” tab.

Step 2: Click on the “Add other Intuit products to your user ID” link shown below.

Step 3: Select the additional product(s) you would like to add to the single User ID you selected above. Repeat this until all the accounts you want consolidated have been added to your new single User ID.

We hope these improvements help you save time and provide you a better web experience. We would love to hear your feedback on this and any suggestions you have for future enhancements.
